Part II lists summer reading required for 11th and 12th grades. Some great book ideas to add to your “To Be Read” lists. Juniors and seniors better get reading. School starts soon.
Depending on their class assignments, 11th graders at Somers High have the following assignments:
11R –Students must read any two of the following books:

Read each of the following works:
1. Of Mice and Men (a novella by John Steinbeck)
2. A Raisin in the Sun (a play by Lorraine Hansberry)
3. Our Town (a drama by Thornton Wilder)
Students are required to read The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck.
In addition to the novel, read at least five essays from any of the following essayists:
