Somers Land Trust Needs Volunteers To Build A Bridge

From LoHud.com: You’ve heard of a barn raising? Well, in Somers this month there will be a “bridge raising” — and all hands are needed to carry, build and applaud.

Community volunteers are needed to join with the Somers Land Trust and the Friends of Angle Fly Preserve later this month to build a new 40-foot bridge across the Angle Fly Brook, which divides the 654-acre open space property.

The date is March 13 and 19 and work is from 10 a.m. until mid-afternoon.
