
Four Girl Scouts from Troop 2708 in Somers, NY achieved the highest award in Girl Scouts -- the Gold Award. They were honored this month at an awards ceremony by Heart of the Hudson Council, which cover seven counties in NYS. The four Somers teens are: Jessica Kimpel, Rachel Kupferschmid, Emma McAnaw and Courtney Peist. The Gold Award is a distinction earned by only five percent of all Girl Scouts nationwide.
